I first ran across these towels at a Lenox outlet store. The softness, (and price) was pretty incredible. I went on to purchase them at Amazon, because the price was better. So, on to the review......The softness is far and above any other towel I have ever felt. Per instructions on the label, I washed them first. And without softener, (which the lady at Lenox said to do). The texture of the towel changed a little, becoming a tiny bit rougher. It's like the towel's nap was originally combed/brushed out, and washing undid that. Still, the towels were very soft. And, after using one just once, there was no turning back. The absorbency is fantastic! It's like a sponge in the way it removes water. Better than anything I have used. (well, maybe a shamwow, but who would use that on themselves?) The second washing, I used softener. The towels came out much more like the original condition, and I have used liquid softener ever since, without any problems. Considering many other towels go for as much as these do on Amazon, I think these are a very reasonable buy. Oh, and the size is just fine, and drying time is not an issue.
