Review of METRO Bed Sheet Set 500 Thread Count Solid Sateen 100% Egyptian Cotton Pale Pink (King)

After years of muted earth tones, I was in the mood for something feminine and cheerful so I searched everywhere for pale pink sheets, which are almost nonexistent.I was delighted to find these, which are the perfect color--a beautiful pale shell pink, not rose or terra cotta (as other "pink" sheets I ordered turned out to be). The sheets are heavy and feel very sturdy, but smooth and soft. I've had 500 and more thread count sheets that were as stiff and scratchy as canvas, but these are nice.I laundered them before putting them on the bed; of course, they're cotton so you can expect wrinkles, but they looked great with some touch-up ironing and they appear to be well-made.

Customer service was outstanding. The first set of sheets arrived with a flawed pillow case and two fitted bottom sheets but no flat top sheet.I called the customer service number provided in the packaging and a new set was sent immediately at no expense to me.

My only concern is that my foam mattress is only 10" deep and I could just barely get the fitted bottom sheets on. The description says they fit up to an 18" mattress, but I don't see how that's possible; as a precaution, I used the elastic sheet straps on the corners to keep them from popping off. The top sheet is adequate, but there's no excess fabric there, either.Despite this, I would probably buy the sheets again just for the beautiful color. Yes, I really am that shallow.
