The fabric is really iridescent, the colors shift and the gold fades completely. I looks worn and old at most angles, I wouldn't pay retail price for this item. I bought mine wholesale. Make sure you don't have long nails with this fabric! It catches on everything!

Review of Pem America "Golden Damask" 7-Piece Comforter Set, Queen

This is a verypretty bedding set and worth it for the price I got it for ($50 free shipping). The colors seem a shade darker than pictured so it will look good in a room thats well lit...The tassles are missing in the order I got. Also the material felt slightly cheap and threads were hanging loose at a few spots - not something you will expect from a Macy's product. This set is perfect for the guest or spare bedroom or for occasional use. It does'nt seem it would last long with regular usage though it is nice to use during the end of summer when its not very hot or very cold. Overall I would give it 3 and 1/2 stars if amazon allowed that...

I bought this comforter and it was beautiful.Taking it out of the bag I found it to be so wrinkled.Once cleaned it was even more wrinkled.It seems impossible to get the wrinkles out of the sheets and pillow cases.If you dont mind ironing your bed clothes this is a beautiful bedset for the room but if your like me and dont even have the time to iron I would suggest looking at another bedroom suit.

After 5 washings and 7 weeks of continuous use, these sheets are still rough.It appears that the manufacturer achieves the high thread count by twisting together threads rather than by using individual threads.The company's service however was very good and they were great to work with to resolve a shipping problem.
