I have never purchased a 1,000 thread count sheet set before. I ordered this one because we wanted a burgundy color and this was the only set we could find. Expectations admittedly were high both because of the advertised thread count and the price. We have had the sheets for about a month now and despite repeated washings, we are still extremely disappointed with them.We can not get them to be anywhere near what someone might call soft. It is an honest statement to say they actually still feel somewhat rough. Another issue we cannot understand is the unusually heavy weight of these sheets. The top sheet feels like a lightweight blanket. Washing has helped but it is still much heavier than anything we have experienced.
