It does seem absorbent. My shower likes to spray the outside of the shower stall as I get it to the right temp, which is annoying and I am currently looking into shower heads that are a bit more 'controlled.' So I need to keep the floor somewhat dry so I don't do a Three Stooges exit from said shower stall. I spent a ridiculous amount of time searching for an absorbent bath mat. What has the world come to? Anyway, I guess I made the right choice, because I haven't really had to do anything about hte mat for a while.
