specs claim this is 12" high.the physical back panel is 12" but when you add on the hight of the bottom piece and extra fabric it does NOT fit in a 12.5" spot.if you have a a tight limitation on hight pls be aware.otherwise i'm really happy with the quality.just can't put it where i orignally wanted to.
